Zoom Guide

To ensure you have the best Taskforce Hurricane experience, please read below.

 

The game can be played in two different ways:

Option 1: all participants in the same room: for this configuration please ensure that you have one main computer with Zoom installed, a projector/tv in the room and that each participant brings their smartphone or WIFI/4G+ Enabled device. 

Option 2: participants in different locations: for this option each participant must have a laptop/desktop computer with zoom installed.

 

Step 1

Install Zoom:

If this is your first time using Zoom, we recommend that you download the app in advance of your booking. The Zoom app is free to use and can be installed on your laptop or desktop computer.

The lead participant will receive a game invite with the meeting id and password, approx 24 hours before game start.  

To join our game open your zoom app or click here. Enter your unique meeting id and password.


Step 2

Our game is only fully compatible with these configurations:

We recommend accessing the game on a laptop or desktop computer with the zoom app installed.

(Please ensure that private chat, file transfers, media playback and screen share are working on your zoom in advance of the game.)

It is highly recommended that you use a laptop or desktop computer with the zoom app installed for the best experience.

IMPORTANT: Please ensure that your camera and microphone works. In addition to  private chat, file transfers, media playback and screen share are enabled/ working on the zoom app on your device, prior to your game..

These setting are normally enabled by default if you use the Zoom app on a laptop or desktop computer. We recommend doing a zoom test call in advance of your game to check if your device is working properly.

How you enable these settings manually,  would depend on your device, please refer to the zoom help centre for further instructions.

In addition to the Zoom app on your laptop and computer, we recommend using either Google Chrome, Safari or Mozilla Firefox to access our in-game content during the game.

If you are having trouble downloading or accessing the zoom app, then you can join the game in Google Chrome  on your laptop or desktop computer.

Please note that the only browser fully compatible with zoom  is google chrome

Please  ensure that your computer's settings are set in advance to allow google chrome to access: your camera, microphone and screen share access (otherwise some people may not be heard/seen nor share mission data, and you might need to reboot during the game)

We recommend doing a zoom test call in advance of your game to check if your device is working properly.

Step 3

Zoom Test Meeting:

To ensure your device is working properly with Zoom in advance of your game you can do a zoom test call. With zoom’s "test meeting feature".
